What is Jewelry-UPcycling™?
Consider your jewelry wardrobe...
What don’t you wear anymore?
Why?
Because…
it’s broke…
it’s out of style…
too long...
too short...
it never fit right…
it was never your taste…
the sentimental value is gone...
the sparkle is gone...
you are tired of it…
you lost part of it…
you just don't want it anymore, but it seems a shame to put it in a landfill.
Usually one only thinks about re-designing jewelry if it's made of
gold and/or has precious stones.
Now imagine turning semi-precious and costume jewelry into
something you love to wear (or even surprise a loved one with an
extra sentimental gift!)
This is a great opportunity to get together with your friends, relax,
talk, and have some creative fun. Even if you don't wear a lot of
jewelry, there are pretty and practical things one can make with old
jewelry parts.

- $20 per person for 3 hours - ($60 minimum)
- $20 for each additional hour your group wishes to

About your hostess:
Monica Tombers has been an Associate Designer at Just So! for 5 years and a fan
of pretty shiny things since birth.
She admires Denise (owner and principal designer of Just So!) because Denise is
not only talented - she completed and patented the very jewelry clasp solution
Monica had also been looking for. So from the moment she walked into the shop,
she fit right in.
Monica has been designing and redesigning her own jewelry for much of her life
and is grateful that this is now a part of her work. She is always looking for the
elegant and practical solution. Working with clients to design special pieces is only
second to making those designs a reality.
Monica loves working with natural stones and other materials and has sold a
number of her own creations at Just So! and other shops. She is especially fond of
jewelry that can be adjusted "on the fly" to be the piece that is just right for an
outfit. Her own jewelry wardrobe has many interchangeable pieces, especially ones
that work with the wonderful DC Connectables™ clasp, earrings, or watch. Yes,
she loves her job. After all, Connectables™ are, as she likes to say, "Like LEGOs
for Ladies." (... and yes, she still has her childhood LEGOs.)
